SANDILE ZUNGU

Born at Umlazi Township in Durban, Sandile Zungu completed matric at Vukuzakhe High School and did post-matric at Hilton College in 1984.

He has a BSc (Mechanical Engineering) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cape Town and has completed a Program for Global Leadership certificate at the Harvard Business School.

He worked as engineer for Richards Bay Minerals (RBM), Engen Refinery, National Sorghum Breweries (NSB) and South African Breweries (SAB) during the period 1989 to 1994.

Zungu was an associate within the corporate finance division of African Merchant Bank (AMB) prior to establishing SARHWU Investment Holdings in 1997, a company that he led for three-and-half years (3.5 years). He worked for New Africa Investments Limited (NAIL) as executive director responsible for strategy and empowerment.

He was chairman of Denel, and JSE-listed Barnard Jacobs Mellet Holdings and Spectrum Shipping Limited. He has served as director on the boards of various large organisations, which include Clover, Edcon and Ellerines Holdings. He remains chairman of Zungu Investments Company (Zico), which is the holding company of his business interests. He is chairman of the JSE-listed Aflease Gold. He is non-executive director of Uranium One Africa and KwaZulu-Natal Growth Fund, and he serves on the Advisory Board of the UCT Graduate School of Business.

In 1998 he led SARHWU Investment Holdings to becoming BusinessMap Dealmaker of The Year. In 2000 he represented South Africa at the 6th finals of the World Young Business Achievers, which were held in Florida, USA and won the much-coveted Outstanding Business Strategy award. Zungu features in the Financial Mail's Little Black Book profiling South Africa's most influential blacks and is a member of the World Economic Forum in his capacity as Young Global Leader.

Philip Kruger
Chief Executive

Philip started his working career with BP Oil where he spent 15 years mainly involved in retail property development which he headed up prior to leaving them to join Supercare Cleaning in 1993. He was appointed Managing Director of Supercare in 1996 and subsequently held the same position for the merged business of Fidelity Cleaning and Supercare post the acquisition of Supercare by Fidelity Services Group in 2001.

As a result of the unbundling of Fidelity Services Group in 2006 he has taken on the role as Chief Executive for Fidelity Supercare Services Group.
Tsepiso Mofokeng
Non-executive Director

Tsepiso has a B.Com, B.Com Honours and MBL degrees from UNISA. He is a strategic marketer who, over the years, has built impeccable credentials on the subject.

After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree, he joined Business Partners as a Business Advisor. He moved to Independent Newspapers as a media analyst before working for Unilever, Coca-Cola, ABSA Bank and NBS in the field of marketing. Tsepiso attended a Management Training Program in the Netherlands and received a Management Development Program certificate. The overall objective of the program was to provide South African managers with an increased understanding of management and marketing and, at the same time, strengthen their skills to develop successful economic and technological relations with foreign partners.

Tsepiso is a board member of Isikhonyane Cleaning Services, Fidelity Supercare Cleaning Services (Pty) Ltd, Siyaya Holdings, Qhubeka Forensic Services (Pty) Ltd, Inkanyezi YeZulu (Pty) Ltd, Bukosini Holdings (Pty) Ltd. He is also a Trustee of Indoni Yamanzi Trust and an alternate Director at Fidelity Cash Management Services (Pty) Ltd
Robert Dickerson
Non-executive Director

Robert had early accounting careers with Irvin & Johnson, and the Hancock Group. He joined the Chubb Group in 1978, fulfilling a diversity of roles until being appointed Managing Director of Chubb Fire. Subsequent appointments included Managing Director of Chubb Electronics, and to the Chubb Holdings Board.

He joined Fidelity in 1992 as Managing Director, and subsequently became Group Chairman. He fulfilled an executive role on board committees and was a director of most of the Group's subsidiaries until the unbundling in 2006 and is now non executive Director of the unbundled operating companies.
Genevieve Alberts
B Com (Hons). MBA

Genevieve commenced her financial services career at the Industrial Development Corporation in 1997 where she gained both lending and private equity experience. In 2006 she moved to Nedbank Capital Private Equity before joining RMB Corvest in 2009.
Gary Macdonald CA(SA)
Non-executive Director

Gary qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 and began his private equity career at RMB Corvest in 1997. Gary represents the interests of RMB Corvest as a shareholder in Supercare. He has implemented a wide variety of management buy-outs, management buy-ins, leveraged recapitalisations and BEE transactions. He has also managed investments in the manufacturing, security, cellular, food, health, retail and media industries. He has been a Supercare board member since November 2006, is a member of the remuneration committee, and chairs the audit committee.
Kevin Macfarlane
Group Financial Manager

Kevin qualified as a CA (SA) in 1999 and spent the next 3 years as a partner in a small firm of auditors in Johannesburg.

Before he joined Supercare in September 2004 he spent 3 years as the Financial Director of a company involved in the manufacture of armoured vehicles for the Security Industry.
Dave Reynolds
Group Human Resources Director

Dave has been with Supercare for 15 years and 17 years within the cleaning industry. Graduate of The University of Natal with two post grad qualifications from UNISA. He has been involved in HR and IR for 17 years within the industry, he is chief negotiator for the contract cleaning industry as well as trustee of the Cleaning Industry Provident Fund.
Graeme Bird
Kwazulu-Natal Regional Director

After completing his Building Management degree, Graeme joined a development NGO working within black townships. He then joined the international consultancy, Scott Wilson, initially implementing township development projects and later within their Facilities Management (FM) division.

As part of the team responsible for securing the prestigious Albert Luthuli Hospital contract for Drake & Scull FM, he engaged closely with outsourced service providers, which led to an appointment by the Servest Group to establish an integrated services division. He joined Supercare as the KZN regional general manager in September 2004 and was appointed as a director in June 2006.
Glen Serra
Western Cape Regional General Manager

Glen graduated from Hotel School and began his career in the Food Services industry working for Compass Group Southern Africa. Here he managed catering facilities in the industrial and healthcare markets. To further his career he then moved to Woolworths where he worked for a period of 4 years.

He then returned to Compass where he worked for a period of 9 years, during this time he was promoted to Operations Director where he spent 6 years managing their business in the Western Cape.

Glen accepted the position of Regional General Manager with Fidelity Supercare in January 2006.
Herman Fouch
Southern Gauteng Regional Director

Herman studied at UNISA and Rand Afrikaans University, graduating in 1992 from the latter with a post graduate degree in accounting, BCom (Hons).

As part of his bursary conditions, Herman commenced a 3 year career at Johannesburg Consolidated Investments' Internal Audit Division.

He resigned from JCI in 1995 as Senior Internal Auditor and joined Supercare as Group Internal Auditor, and was subsequently promoted to Financial Manager of the Johannesburg office.

Herman currently holds the position of Regional Director in Fidelity Supercare Services Group responsible for the Cleaning, Hygiene and Labour Services business operations in Gauteng and the Free State. Herman also holds a board position in Isikhonyane Cleaning Services, a Black Owned Associated company of the Group.
Gavin Kettle
Northern Gauteng Regional Director

Gavin had embarked on a human resources platform in the early part of his career with Gengold and Fedics Group culminating in a move to operations with Fedics in 1991.

In the early part of his operational career he was tasked to create a new risk division within Fedics and later was appointed to the Executive Team of a newly founded Joint Venture with Anglo American and Fedics called Reef Food Services.

After leaving Reef Food Services he joined Royal Food Services as Operations Director and was instrumental in forming the Inland Region.

Gavin joined Supercare in 1998 to manage the Northern Gauteng Region and currently holds the position of Regional Director responsible for the Cleaning and Hygiene business in Northern Gauteng, Mpumulanga, Northern Province, he is also Director of Mozambique Limitada.
Paul Dunn
 

Paul Dunn has worked in the service industry for 13 years. His background includes sales, project and operations management. Previous position held as MD of a leading hygiene company. Has a B-Com marketing degree.
